The KCCA Leopards left no room for doubt in their emphatic 93-48 demolition of Miracle Eaglets during the National Basketball League clash at Lugogo Indoor Arena, avenging their earlier season loss in the most brutal fashion.
From the outset, it was clear the Leopards had come with a point to prove. After edging a closely contested first quarter 20-18, they hit another gear, stretching their lead to 17 points by halftime as their offense clicked and defense tightened.
The third quarter proved decisive. With relentless pressure and sharp execution, the Leopards held the Eaglets to just 10 points, while pouring in baskets at will to build a commanding 70-38 advantage heading into the final frame.
Veteran Martha Soigi drilled a long-range shot late in the game, sealing a night of total dominance with a flourish as the Leopards secured a staggering 45-point victory.
Margaret Bagaala was unstoppable, dropping 34 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a standout double-double performance. Tracy Namugosa matched her with a game-high 34 points of her own, while Uwineza added 14 to round out a high-powered offense.
For the struggling Eaglets, only Isabella Namugabo (11) and Mariam Namukwaya (10) managed to hit double figures, as the team failed to find answers on either end of the floor.
With this win, the Leopards not only settled the score but also sent a message—they’re still one of the teams to beat.
