Mbarara City FC part ways with coach Livingstone Mbabazi

Mbarara City FC has officially confirmed the departure of head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi.

The club has taken the decision to relieve Mbabazi of his duties with immediate effect.

In a brief statement released on Sunday, the club announced that a caretaker coach will be appointed to lead the team through the remaining four matches of the 2024/25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season. Details regarding the interim appointment are expected in the coming days.

“All other members of his technical team have also been relieved of their duties,” the statement read.

Mbarara City FC extended its appreciation to Mbabazi for his commitment and service during his time at the club.

“We’d like to thank Charles Livingstone Mbabazi for his passion and effort during his time as Mbarara City Head Coach and wish him the very best for his next steps in the game.”

The Ankole Lions are currently battling to stay afloat in the top flight and will be hoping the upcoming changes will inspire a positive finish to the season.
