NAIROBI, KENYA – Rising Kenyan powerhouse Nairobi United have sent a clear message of intent to their rivals across East Africa after announcing a major revamp of their technical bench.
The club, currently enjoying a fairytale debut season, has moved to strengthen its backroom staff in preparation for a high-stakes January that includes a push for the SportPesa Kenya Premier League title and a debut on the continental CAF stage.
Elite Experience Joins Muyoti’s Bench
Head Coach Nicholas Muyoti will now be supported by a wealth of tactical and physical expertise. The new additions include: Bonface Omondi Musa (Assistant Coach): Joining from Kariobangi Sharks, Omondi brings elite CAF B coaching credentials to the camp.
Sadique Ambani Waziri (Second Assistant Coach): The CAF B tactician makes the move from military giants Ulinzi Stars, adding defensive discipline and experience.

Kevin Kimani (Strength and Conditioning Coach): In a major boost to player fitness, former Kenyan International and FIFA certificate holder Kevin Kimani joins to ensure the squad can handle the “grueling run of fixtures” ahead.
Eyes on the Prize: League and Continental Glory
Nairobi United’s Technical Director, Salim Ramadhan Ali, emphasized that these changes are designed to help the club make history in 2026. The club has set its sights on a monumental “double”—winning the League and retaining the Mozzart Cup. “The revamp is aimed at improving the team even further as we aim to make more history in the new year,” said Salim Ramadhan.
Head Coach Nicholas Muyoti echoed these sentiments, welcoming the new staff and insisting their arrival is a vital piece of the puzzle in achieving the season’s ambitious targets.
