Namuwongo Blazers maintained their unbeaten run in the National Basketball League after beating JKL Dolphins 91-79 on Wednesday night at Abuja Park, Nalya.
This was the Blazers third consecutive victory in three games this season. Tony Drileba’s three-pointer was a big moment, but it wasn’t enough to give the Blazers the lead early on.
That second quarter was a complete game-changer. Outscoring the Dolphins 36-14 shows how dominant the Blazers can be when they find their rhythm. Their defense must have stepped up as well to hold JKL to just 14 points.

The Dolphins showed resilience in the third quarter, but the Blazers’ ability to maintain their lead and close out the game speaks to their composure and experience. Winning in front of their home crowd adds to the momentum they’re building this season.
The Blazers had a solid offensive trio in Peter Obleng (16 points), Innocent Ochera (15 points), and Drileba (13 points), which allowed them to spread the scoring and keep the pressure on. Clement Kabangu (21 points), Philip Ameny (18 points) and Mesho Kenneth (10 points) were excellent for the Dolphins, but it seems like they lacked that extra spark or balance to challenge the Blazers’ depth.
