Police FC continued their impressive start to the Uganda Premier League season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over UPDF FC in Bombo on Thursday.
The Cops showed great resilience to grab all three points away from home, moving to 11 points, level with leaders KCCA FC, who still have a game in hand.
After a cagey first half, Deus Bukenya broke the deadlock in the 65th minute with a fine finish to put Police ahead. UPDF fought back late on, equalising through Rashidi Faridi in the 88th minute.
But just when the hosts thought they had salvaged a point, Derrick Maviiri struck a dramatic winner a minute later to seal victory for Police a result that keeps their title ambitions firmly on track.
