Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) secured their place in the University Football League (UFL) final after a hard-fought result in the return leg semi final over Bugema University. They settled to a goalless draw away in Bugema.
Having won the first leg 2-0 at home last week, UMU managed to seal to the final with 2-0 on aggregate.
The return leg encounter match was tightly contested, with UMU displaying strong defensive organization to edge out their opponents.

Bugema put up a spirited fight but ultimately fell short as they were not clinical enough and it gave UMU a chance to advance.
In the final, Uganda Martyrs will face St. Lawrence University, a dominant force in the competition. St. Lawrence, known for their attacking flair and experience in big matches, will be expected to put up a good show but UMU’s resilience and tactical discipline could make them a tough opponent. The final promises to be an exciting clash between two determined sides.
This will be the fourth final for UMU who have won twice and lost one while St Lawrence made it to the final for third time although they lost the previous two times.
UMU versus St Lawrence will be a repeat of 2022 league final which was eventually won by UMU 1-0 at Lugogo
