Bright Stars FC and Wakiso Giants played out a tightly contested 0-0 draw in their Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Ground
The match saw both sides struggle to break down organized defenses, with clear-cut chances few and far between. Bright Stars, typically strong at home, but lacked the cutting edge in the final third. Wakiso Giants, meanwhile, posed a threat on the counter but were similarly wasteful in front of goal.
The result leaves Bright Stars second from bottom with 16 points, while Wakiso Giants remain third from bottom with 19 points.
Being a relegation battle it was a cagey opening 45 minutes with neither side creating clear chances while in the second half more pressure was applied from both sides but they both stood firm in defence.
Both sides will have to fight hard if they are to survive relegation this season.
