URA’s 3-2 victory over Mbale Heroes was a crucial win as they climbed to fifth place in the Uganda Premier League standings.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe’s brace and Norman Namanya’s goal ensured the Tax Collectors secured their tenth win of the season.

Despite Robert Eseru and Jesse Kajuba scoring for Mbale Heroes. The struggling side remains deep in the relegation zone with only 10 points from 21 games.

URA now sits at 33 points, surpassing SC Villa, Maroons, and Kitara, and are just a point behind fourth-placed KCCA.

However, they still trail league leaders Vipers by 16 points. Their next challenge is an away fixture against Mbarara City on April 4, while Mbale Heroes face fellow strugglers Wakiso Giants in a must-win match.

URA bounced back to winning ways after being eliminated in the Uganda Cup.
