Vipers SC have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League after securing a commanding 2-0 victory over Kitara FC in Butema, Hoima.
Goals from youngster Gusto Mulongo in the first half and Yunus Ssentamu in the second half sealed the win that took Vipers to 68 points four clear of second-placed NEC FC with just one game left in the season.
Despite NEC FC edging SC Villa 1-0 at Wankulukuku Stadium to stay in contention, Vipers’ result ensured that the title was mathematically out of reach, handing the Kitende-based club their seventh league crown.
This triumph marks a strong comeback for Vipers, who have overcome early-season challenges to assert their dominance and reclaim the league throne in style.
