Vipers SC produced a blistering second-half display to defeat BUL FC 3–1 under the lights at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, tightening their grip on the Uganda Premier League title race.
After a delayed kickoff caused by last-minute net repairs, the opening half was largely cagey. BUL showed early aggression and picked up bookings through Tah Barni Kelvin and Karim Ndugwa, while goalkeeper Tom Ikara was called into action to deny Vipers midway through the half. Chances were limited at both ends as the teams went into the break locked at 0–0.

The game came alive immediately after halftime. Barely three minutes into the second period, Enock Ssebagala broke the deadlock for the hosts, igniting the Kitende crowd. BUL responded swiftly, with Jeromy Kirya restoring parity in the 55th minute to threaten a turnaround.
Vipers, however, shifted gears. A handball in the BUL box handed the hosts a penalty, calmly converted by Abdulkarim Watambala just before the hour mark. Moments later, Kiza Arafat Usama struck the decisive blow, finishing clinically to make it 3–1 and put daylight between the two sides.

The remainder of the match saw Vipers manage the game , making timely substitutions and absorbing BUL pressure.
The victory lifts Vipers to second place on 21 points, just two behind leaders KCCA and with a game in hand, keeping their championship ambitions firmly alive. BUL, meanwhile, remain 12th on 10 points as they continue to search for consistency this season.
