With their sights firmly set on the CAF Champions League and the forthcoming 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, Vipers SC have once again dipped into the transfer market, unveiling Liberian starlet Robin Kane Hney as their newest acquisition.

The 20-year-old winger arrives on a three-year contract from Albanian side Apolonia Fier, where he registered two goals and five assists in 12 outings last term. A product of Cece United Football Academy, Hney sharpened his skills with Pepper FC and FC Fassell in Liberia — the same club that once nurtured current Vipers head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert.

Blessed with searing pace, flair in one-on-one duels, and a knack for delivering decisive passes, the youngster is tipped to inject freshness into the Venoms’ wide play.

“Hney is dynamic, creative, and eager to make his mark,” Coach Minnaert said of his new signing. “We expect him to bring excitement and healthy competition in our attacking department.”

At Kitende, he will battle established names such as Milton Karisa, Yunus Sentamu, and fellow new signing Odili Chukwuma for a place in the starting XI. His arrival signals not only a push for depth but also Vipers’ desire to blend youth with experience as they chase continental and domestic glory.

Hney becomes the fifth recruit of the transfer window, joining Enock Ssebaggala, Odili Chukwuma, Kevin Dasylva Bady, and compatriot Mark Yallah in what is shaping up to be one of the club’s most ambitious rebuilds in recent years.

For Vipers, the message is unmistakable: the Venoms are assembling an arsenal ready to bite both at home and abroad.
