Vipers managed to bounce back to winning ways after a slim 1-0 victory over Lugazi in the Uganda Premier League on Thursday at St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
Abdul Karim Watambala’s second-half strike saw Vipers return to winning ways after 1-0 defeat against SC Villa last weekend.
Watambala, launched a powerful shot in the 68th minute off Rogers Torach’s assist that left Lugazi goalkeeper Juma Mutebi beaten.
The win saw Vipers move to 52 points, five points above second-placed NEC, who take on UPDF on Friday.
Vipers will battle Express at Hamz stadium in their next game. For Lugazi, the defeat saw them remain 11th with 26 points.
