KCCA FC’s ongoing squad rebuild has gathered more pace with the acquisition of winger Rogers Mugisha, who joins on a three-year deal. The 22-year-old becomes the fifth high-profile addition of the transfer window, underlining the club’s intent to refresh its squad with youthful, attack-minded talent.
Mugisha, once a standout at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations where he was named in the tournament’s best XI, arrives with growing pedigree and a reputation as one of Uganda’s most exciting emerging forwards. His inclusion is expected to sharpen KCCA’s wing play and offer more pace in transition, a dimension the technical team has consistently sought to improve.

For the Kasasiro Boys, Mugisha is not just another recruit but part of a deliberate project to restore dominance in the Uganda Premier League. He joins fellow new signings Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Herbert Achayi, Lazaro Muhindo, and Enock Walusimbi as the club reshapes its core.
“I see this as a big opportunity,” Mugisha said after penning his contract. “KCCA has history and ambition, and I want to be part of that story. The expectations are huge, but I believe I can rise to the challenge.”

Co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo described Mugisha’s arrival as a strategic piece in the puzzle:
“We have been following him closely. His pace and ability to stretch defenses give us new tactical options. He is the kind of player who excites fans and fits well into our attacking philosophy.”
With the Kampala giants retooling for the new campaign, the introduction of Mugisha signals a clear message—KCCA are rebuilding with intent, and youthful firepower will be central to their chase for silverware.
