Namuwongo Blazers continued their dominant run in the National Basketball League with a convincing 83-57 win over the JT Jaguars on Friday night at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The Blazers, now 4-0 this season, added the Jaguars to their growing list of victims that includes City Oilers, Victoria Crocs, and JKL Dolphins.
The contest started evenly, with the Jaguars deploying a zone flex defense that momentarily held the Blazers in check. But once the Jaguars switched to a man-to-man approach, the Blazers found their rhythm, moving the ball with pace and precision to exploit the defensive gaps.
Micheal Makiadi capped off a strong first period with a buzzer-beater three-pointer, handing the Blazers a 23-14 lead after ten minutes. The Jaguars fought back in the second quarter, trimming the deficit to just two points (34-32) by halftime.
However, the Blazers emerged from the break with renewed intensity, outscoring their opponents decisively and stretching the lead to 14 by the end of the third period. Henry Ssebagala hit two free throws early in the fourth to push the margin to 20, prompting Jaguars coach Sudi Ulanga to switch to a small-ball lineup in search of answers.

The Blazers maintained their momentum, closing the game with a commanding 26-point win.
James Okello starred with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Makiadi added 12 points and 11 boards. For the Jaguars, Mark Were stood out with a game-high 21 points, but lacked sufficient support as no other player reached double figures.
Namuwongo Blazers now sit atop the NBL standings, brimming with confidence ahead of their next matchupl
