Vipers SC have stepped up their squad restructuring ahead of the 2026/27 campaign after officially announcing the exit of experienced full-back Nicholas Wadada.
The Uganda Premier League champions confirmed the defender’s departure on Friday through a brief statement on the club’s official communication channels, bringing an end to his second spell at the Kitende-based outfit.
“Thank you and farewell Nicholas Wadada. We wish you all the best on your future endeavours,” the club posted.

Wadada’s exit adds to the growing list of departures as Vipers reshape their squad for a demanding season that includes domestic competitions and the CAF Champions League. He becomes the sixth player to leave the club during the current transfer window, following Grant Matsiko, Taddeo Lwanga, Bashir Ssekagya, Alfred Mudekereza and Livingstone Mulondo.
The attacking right-back returned to Vipers in 2024 on a two-year contract after several seasons abroad, but his deal has now expired.
Sports Light understands that Wadada is closing in on a move to Uganda Cup holders Kitara FC, who are strengthening their squad ahead of their debut campaign in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.
The veteran defender brings a wealth of experience, having previously featured for Tanzania Premier League sides Azam FC, Ihefu FC and Singida Black Stars, in addition to his successful spells in Ugandan football.
