Joseph Sebatindira, a talented Ugandan table tennis player, has shifted his focus to competing in the U11 category of the WTT Youth Contender Championship in Berlin, Germany.
This follows his narrow 3-2 loss to Spain’s Ladimir Mayorov in the U13 final last night . Sebatindira has a strong track record, having successfully defended his U13 World Title with a 3-1 victory over Spain’s Alexander Malov in Vila Real, Portugal, just three weeks ago.
Sebatindira’s rise in the world of table tennis is nothing short of remarkable. His success in Portugal a few weeks ago, along with his performances in the U11 and U13 categories, underscores his dedication and technical growth. With his refined arm reach and powerful forehand attacks, he is becoming a formidable player at just 10 years old.

His next challenge at the WTT Youth Contender Havirov 2025 in the Czech Republic (March 14–16) is another key opportunity to strengthen his ranking and showcase his skills on the global stage.
Traveling alongside Coach Alvin Katumba, Sebatindira will aim to build on his gold medal performances and continue accumulating ITTF Contender points.
His steady rise is also a testament to the quality of training at Nakasero Table Tennis Club, which is playing a crucial role in developing Uganda’s next generation of table tennis stars. If he continues on this trajectory, Sebatindira has the potential to elevate Ugandan table tennis to new international heights.
